Here are some quick ideas to help you with GCSE and A Level revision:
Make a timetable that works for you – it may look weird to anyone else but if you really like to work at 6 am ( joke)
go for it!
Be really tidy – get new folders, dividers, blank revision cards on a ring ( WH Smith), boxes of index cards and start afresh with your revision notes
Choose rewards – what will you do when you have finished 3 hours of English revision to chill?
Take regular breaks – set your phone to remind you that the break is OVER and get back to work – this is the single most important tip – if you do this regularly you will have the best chance of passing !
None of this is new – the trick is to APPLY it all -easier said than done.
SUPPORT – get Susan to keep you on track every week with phone calls, texts and emails
Parents – they are your allies – how do you want them to help you ? They just want to know exactly what YOU want from them
Buddies – if you want , buddy study is very effective. I can set you and a buddy up with a revision plan and some coaching to get you started with joint revision – you get twice the benefit in half the time .
